The Choice of Anxiety

Your wisdom was exercised by marking those student assignments. That was the positive. The negative: using stereotypes and shortcuts when you should open your eyes and just look. Expectations can overpower, particularly when some of your mind is occupied. Why is it occupied? Let it be free.

Stay in the moment.

The face of a chaplain. Why do you judge? What is your reason for seeing something that is not there?

Courage can be simple: pick up the phone. Speak to people. Worry about the issues, not the impression others have of you.

Justice is giving thanks, maintaining your consideration of other people at all times.

Temperance. Your biggest problem, or only the most salient?

Another wise moment: realising that anxiety is chosen when you choose to give in to your expectations. This is only habit. Habit means nothing.
